The Devastators and some other kick ass local bands showed up to lend their support. Looks like their MySpace was still active up until about three months ago…

Union Square - The Burning Souls of TomorrowUnion Square was actually the SECOND band out of Sweden I booked at Molly Malone’s in Ramona back in the days of the420channel shows… This was back when MySpace was really at it’s peak, and because the whole social networking thing was fairly new, TONS of great bands you never heard of were on there and looking to play internationally. It looks like the original lineup was still together as of 2010, but it doesn’t look like anyone’s logged into their MySpace for awhile…

Alice in Chains - NutshellAlice in Chains played a killer FREE show at the Del Mar racetrack back in August (I think) of 2006… The thanks they got? Some asshole pelted guitarist Jerry Cantrell with a sandal, effectively ending the show before they played any encores… Way to represent, San Diego :( Still, it was an awesome performance up until the shenanigans took place, and this video of “Nutshell” is footage I shot from the infield on a little Panasonic PVGS180 mini-DV cam. The footage has been motion-stabilized in Apple Shake, using the smooth cam node.

Lol, my first video camera… I think it was about $400 for a video camera that shoots like a modern cellphone… Ah well, at least the audio’s good!

The Morning RiotSan Diego’s own Morning Riot, turns in another kick-ass performance from the420Channel days at Molly Malone’s in Ramona, circa 2007… These guys played on the side of the 5 freeway once in North County and caused a sig alert during morning rush hour :D I think there still out there playing somewhere…
